I believe that this metalcore album is the very example of what the genre can offer at its best: easily headbangable music, without frills, which goes straight to the point.

This album is awesome. "Mire" is a goddamn wrecking ball.

Wasn't a huge fan of their last release, so wasn't sure what to expect from this, but seems like a great return to form. Probably my favorite release by them since Rareform. Still not loving how often they use breakdowns....but I guess that's an attribute to be expected with any ATB release.

There are some excellent moments here ("Deluge", "Laurentian Ghost"), and some very monotonous ones (the first two songs, for instance). Thankfully, the aforementioned highlights really sparked my interest, mainly because of how the band utilize a strong sense of harmony with the bittersweet nature of the rhythm section and the more or less versatile vocals. "Laurentian Ghost" is beautiful in places and you can almost forget how average the album is to start with. So yeah, it's a mixed bag, but with more great songs than average ones.

Very good album. The best in its category this year in my opinion. Underrated considering the current voting.
