I believe that this metalcore album is the very example of what the genre can offer at its best: easily headbangable music, without frills, which goes straight to the point.

Let's start by simply saying that Dig Deep is probably the album that made me tear my head off the most in my entire life. This is a typical example of “all killer, no filler”. Each song shows that the group racked their brains to find very heavy music, different from the others while keeping the same theme. Each track has several different riffs at its disposal to make listeners headbang. "Lost In The Static" is phenomenal; it's one of the best songs with which to introduce a newcomer to the genre. Some tracks, like “Laurentian Ghosts”, even allow themselves to pleasantly surprise us with the simple aim of headbanging.

I feel that this album was created solely with the aim of making heavy music with the main and only task of making listeners headbang, and it works. This album is a real release; "Heavy Lies The Ground" and "The Endless March" are intended to make you wring your neck, the album should warn you that listening can cause serious neck cramps. The guitars and drums are often in the famous "machine gun" mode, which is simple but devilishly effective when the instruments are used well. The guitar solos obviously go in the same direction, and the thick and angry voice of the vocalist, let's not talk about it.

On certain songs, the album manages to make your mouth water as you approach the breakdowns, it's quite enjoyable. It's an invigorating album; don't go listening to it for beautifully written lyrics, or for technical and inhuman riffs, as it only offers heavy stuff. However, unlike with most metalcore metalcore, its mission is more than accomplished. Obviously, for people who are not particularly a fan of metalcore, you can move on, but I still advise you to take a look at this album.

In short, this record serves as a replacement for vitamin C, and keep a punching bag next to you, not for your fists but for your head, otherwise it risks breaking the wall. In short, Dig Deep isn't a masterpiece of writing either, but it makes you headbang because it wants to. The album could very well have been called "Neckbreaker", given that its main theme is headbanging. For a metalcore lover this is a must, nay, an essential.
