I can only imagine how surreal it must have felt when this little milestone of an album came out. Back then heavy metal wasn't that big of a thing in Finland and there were barely two or three bands around, but these guys already decided to experiment with Finnish lyrics and female vocals. There's even Kirka and his sister singing here, they were popular pop musicians back in the day. Kirka was more of a rock singer in heart, he even released his own metal and hard rock solo stuff and performed some Dio classics, they were really good covers. Not only that, but this time they had already figured out how to produce metal music.

I remember reading from some magazine that many people found this album campy and just laughed it off as a silly curiosity, maybe over the top metal lyrics just sound more cool when sang in English. As an early pioneering Finnish metal album this is surprisingly raw and tasty, even if still somewhat inconsistent in terms of quality and style. My old copy is pretty worn and crappy so my listening experience might not be the most accurate one.

Edit. Oh yeah! And Upi Sorvali who plays drums on this album is the father of Henri Sorvali from Moonsorrow. I'm pretty sure that makes them the first Finnish father and son who have both recorded a metal album.
