Line-up is pretty good at this point. I hope there will be some more surprises, because at this point I'm not sure about going.

Umm.... Deja vu moment. Not only Neara was at Green Christmas a couple of years ago but Paradise Lost as well, a year earlier if I'm not mistaken. This is definitely a weird choice.

Well, it's not weird as such. I mean, many artists come again to Estonia and it's good. A new album is a good enough reason. Moreover, Neaera went well with people two years ago. However, there are many bands that haven't been here and it'd be excellent to see them. I know I have a bit of a taste that is not much shared around here - haven't seen any real Prog band around here that would matter for me, but I'd still expect new bands.

Yea same here. I mean Paradise Lost is awesome, but I've seen em already. Still as gun pointed out - they do have a new kickass record out and it would definately be cool to see the new songs live. But PL doesn't have the wow-factor for me...

Then again there's still UDO and Mustasch for example. We'll see...

Oh and accommodation is an issue.

Ahh, don't gimme that! I mean, you maybe right as far as stand-alone gigs are concerned. The major interest here is for something that kicks and kills, and something doomy; and not for Prog. Prog Rock won't stand a chance here basically. But I don't think that's really the case with Prog Metal and especially with bands that draw influences from other genres as well (and I'm not talking about Opeth here, that's a different story altogether).

I think that there are bands that could flame the interest for the festival. Ok, Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree are most likely out of reach, but bands like Riverside and especially Evergrey, or why not Andromeda or aggressive Communic, could be a good addition to the line-up.

I haven't done the research but I don't think that anyone has actually tried to bring any decent Prog band here (and flopped, with exception of Kuri Proge but I think that one may suffer from different things). I'd be curious to find out though if anyone has taken the chances and flopped the event. And can fitting one band into a festival line-up really be a suicide if we are not talking about a headliner?

you don't want to know how big are fees on these days... lets take evergrey... they want same amount money as liquido, now think which band is better bring for same money? i know you are thinking like visitor, i like promoter... i have a fan of tool (and we have done offer for estonia, not for gc), but they want way too much to reach even breakeven in estonia. so....

Hm, yes its a shame that no prog rock or metal bands play in the near vicinity, it would be cool to visit some such gigs I think.

Maybe I will go to this one because line-up is quite interesting, but I'm not sure as accommodation is a problem.

What's the big deal about Liquido anyway? They are just a lame pop/rock one-hit-wonder who are of no particular interest anymore since 1999. If I had the choice to see them or some generic prog metal band - let alone a high-quality one like Evergrey or Communic - I'd definitely pick the prog band.

Very true. But their one hit was a very successful one, iconic even, and I'm sure that alone appeals to a large number of potential visitors.

Besides I'm quite sure they had another breaking song but I've forgotten the fucking title
