I'm really digging this, especially the tracks "The Forest Church" and "The Ancient Ways", I really like the Ancient Druid theme behind it too. I'd say it's probably more stoner than doom, they were definitely high when making this anyway. Regardless, it's such a quality release and the best in stoner metal I've heard this year

Nice album. I get big Ghost vibes from it, and I don't remember Green Lung being like this.

I was going to say that. Very different from their 2 previous albums. Really sounds like Ghost sometimes

This album really rocks! And as above comments already pointed out, there are some clear Ghost inspiration here and there.

The Ghost vibes are really clear. Perhaps it's a bit too obvious, as after one listen that's all I could hear.

It makes me want to listen to it again though...

I played the first album 2-3 years ago and don't remember them sounding like this.

There was a horrible local band growing up called Green Lung and seeing this pop up is giving me PTSD.

Didn't like it as much as the 2 previous ones

That's correct, and "Woodland Rites" is the best release. Great band that is trotting on its way to much greater releases, except "This Heathen" came a tad short of my expectations. Nonetheless, it's a good album.

I love Woodland Rites, but This Heathen Land is their best release for me and these songs received the best reception last night.

Awesome band!

Somehow, I found underwhelmed as compared to first two strong releases. Not a bad record at all, still shadowed under what Woodland Rites brought upfront.

One for sorrow is such a good song. Love when they make it really slow.
