01. The Snake Dance
02. Perversion Through Innocence
03. A Nightmare Made Of Dream
04. Alien Womb
This is the first Demo for this Greek band SUFFER IN SILENCE, they play a strange brew of Gothic and Death metal, in their info sheet they say to play Black Metal also, but I don't see it anywhere in the music.
The music is very strange, first time I listened to this one I was shocked, because I couldn't define well what type of music this belonged to, is like hearing Hard Rock and Gothic metal with Death Metal vocals and female vox thrown in the mix also, hmmm kinda original if you ask me.
The only problem here are the songs, they don't see to have fully developed, something is missing, I can't point my finger at it, but I know something is missing, of the 4 songs in the demo I found 2 songs to be great ( The Snake Dance and A Nightmare made Of Dream), but the other songs, I can't finishing listening, not that they're so bad, but I prefer listening the other 2.
So, at last this Demo leave me with somewhat mixed opinions, but luckily I'm willing to hear their next work because I do believe in this band, and I know they have great potential, they just have to go to the rehearsal room and play until a more mature Demo comes out, hope this guys can do it.
