November Aria is a band hailing from New York, and I have understand that they have a decent fan database there, but I don't think that anyone outside the USA musical circuit has ever heard of them, so I think is time to give this guys a chance.

So, this is your typical Gothic Metal band with female vocals, as a matter of fact many of you would doubt if this qualifies as Metal at all, let's say id just a more laid back type of Metal, or Gothic Rock if you prefer.

Anyway, the moment you press play in the record player, you know it, the production SUCKS. The mix is poor, the recording is awful, the whole Cd sounds like a concert in a cheap bar, maybe if you hear enough, you can listen a drunk puking in the corner of the billiard table. I can't stand productions like this, I know is not free to produce a record, but hey. A lot of unsigned bands are doing their best effort in their demos, so that shouldn't be and excuse to release such a poorly produced Demo like this. But I keep saying to myself, "It's a Demo, come 'on, don't be a jackass and give the guys a break"

So after my inner voice spoke to me I tried to imagine this Demo with a better production, would I have liked it? Possibly yes. I like more laid back music, and this is the kind that I like, not too pretentious, not too bombastic, not too hefty, just simple music for those relax moments. Fans of The gathering definitely will like this.

So, the production is terrible, the music is ok. Judgment? I'll wait them to release a full-length to determine if there's any future, musically speaking. Until that day, don't quit your day jobs.
