Gothic Metal from Germany, what a surprise, the last place I was expecting to hear THAT phrase. No, really, jokes apart, The Gallery are a Gothic Metal/Rock band, and they focus on the more mellow side of this type of music? does it works? I must say that sadly... no.
Let's go after the facts first, this is their second album released in 1998, the band has 2 vocalists, one male (Gunnar Mothes) and the other female (Antje Mothes), in case you're wondering, yes, they're brothers.
The cover art, which is very weird is inspired by Salvadors Dali's Famous "Skull Painting", I don't like it a bit.
The music on the other side, is mellow and plain boring, the female vocals are far from bad, but they have a somnolent effect on me, they just doze me? every song is slow and monotonous, even the A-HA cover "The Sun Always Shines On T.V."
Maybe I don't want to listen slow music this days because we're in summer down here, maybe I don't want to listen to this album at all, maybe it's just me, but I can tell you one thing, this one bored me.
