Kinetic is a band from Greece that plays an strange brew of Trash Metal, Death Metal and Heavy Metal, well, not THAT strange, is common knowledge that Heavy Metal mixes it's sub-genres a lot, so strange combinations like Progressive-Power-Doom-Death Metal is no surprise this days.
This demo only have 3 songs, and let me tell you, that the experience was nothing special, same 'ol riffs done a thousand times, familiar song structures and annoying vocals, I don't know if this guy is screaming trying to growl, or growling trying to scream, really confusing.
But, not all is awful, don't be mistaken, is not a killer Demo, but at least the band shows potential here, they need a lot of work, but when the talent is there, only a streak of originality is needed. They need to sit down and try to compose more intricate melodies and have a more solid base of catchy riffs, sounds easy, but with all the Metal bands out there, trying to do something original is very difficult.
So this Demo leaves me unsatisfied at the end, but with the hope of a better future for these guys, let's hope to hear more from Kinetic. Another thing, great choice with the cover art, W. Steiner is a master at his work.
