01. Depression Of Ages
02. Reflections Of You

Blade Of Spirit is a young Greek band formed in 1996, until now they've released five Demos, (Cd's and Tapes), this, their sixth Demo, contains only 2 songs and a rather particular way to play Power Metal.

The first thing that I noticed upon hearing this Demo, was the voice of Manos Kompos, is a very deep low voice, the good thing is that he doesn't try to reach those high notes, and of course, he don't use the infamous falsetto technique.
The 2 song promo begins with "Depression Of Ages", cool Power Metal song, although nothing new or innovative, the second song, "Reflections Of You" starts with an almost eighties Hard Rock riff, and then evolves to a mid-paced classic Power Metal tune.

I must give credit to this guys for not including the typical ultra fast, double bass opener song in their Promo, that is the usual opener for this type of new Power Metal bands, but let me tell you that it takes more than speedy songs to make it in the scene, specially this days when Power Metal is so repetitive and lacks innovation.

Still, this is not an excellent work, is an Ok promo from a promising band, they need to find their own sound, and that is only achieved through practice and creativity. Nevertheless, best of lucks for Blade Of Spirit.
