Pentacrostic is a Death Metal band from Brazil, country that spawns the most Metal bands that comes from South America. Brazil is a country with no particular taste for a sub-genre of Metal, we listen Death, Thrash, Gothic, Power and Doom Metal bands come from Brazil, the scene is pretty varied in the land of samba.
Sadly we aren't in front of a worthy dignitary of the genre, since "Moments Of The Afflictions" is a plain and almost boring album filled with mid-paced Death Metal songs.
I've listened the album several times and found nothing to say about this, the songs are plain simple and uninteresting, I tend to skip one song after another to at least found some interesting parts in any song, but sadly, I must say that this album is going to stay on my shelf for a while without being listened. Ever.
Come 'on Undercraft! This can't be THAT bad! Well, as a matter of fact, is not that bad, but is not good either, got some moments like the acoustic intro in the title song "Moments Of The Afflictions" , and well, that's it, that was a good moment, the rest of the album was, like the title may hint, a collection of moments of afflictions.
Usually Brazil spawn good bands, don't know what happened here, and to be honest with al our readers, I don't care either, Pentacrostic is simply not an option with all the good bands out there releasing high-quality stuff.
