"Last Roar" was recorded in 1999 and released in the USA only, under the name of "Remembering White Lion". Another time again, Mausoleum Records give a chance to all the fans of the bands from Europe to listen this cd. If you know "White Lion" you must know that this album was not recorded with the original line up. No Vito Bratta or James Lorenzo on it sorry?. With this "new" line up [Mike Tramp [vocals], Kasper Damgaard [guitar], Dan Hemmer [Hammond organ], Nils Kroyer [bass]and Bjarne Holm [drums] ] you will see that this is not the sound of "White Lion" is not really the same, but Mr Mike Tramp know it and did some arrangements which are at the end well done and give a chance to this album?

And "Last Roar" is not a bad album in my opinion. The "new" line up don't have the same quality of playing that the old one, but however the music is a bit more groovy and swing a little more than with the old musicians. At the end, the songs of the albums are in general very catchy, and that's in the vein of the music of "White Lion". Good guitars riffs, good melodies, and of course very catchy chorus are the mix which do that "Last Roar" is an interesting album. In addition of course, this is not a surprise, we must add the excellent voice of Mike Tramp and the result well, even if it's certainly not the true "White Lion" is convincing. At least believe me that it's not a problem to listen to this cd.
The production of this album is not too bad but not really good too. Ok the sound is good, no problem on the more important point of all the albums, but the booklet is not perfect. No lyrics, and a really bad cover again and a strange stuff, some pics with the original line up... We have however again a great bio of Alfie Falckenbach [it's an habit with the re-released albums of Mausoleum].

By the way, "Last Roar" is an interesting album and I recommend it to all the fans of Hard Rock and maybe too, to the fans of the real White Lion. I'm sure that they could like it too, because "Last Roar" is catchy and well it's a good release which deserve to be know.
