Aisling are from Italy and this is their 3 track promo I present to our dear readers, 3 songs combining Folk melodies and Black Metal, the result? An enjoyable Cd of Pagan Black Metal.
First of all, the Cover art is terrible, the whole presentation is very simple and even the band logo is ugly, I understand not all bands have the financial means to afford a proper designer, but come on, anyone can do better that this?
Luckily for me and for you, the music on the Cd is not bad at all, as a matter of fact is quite enjoyable, maybe not the first song, which is quite standard Black/Folk Metal, but the second track features some Celtic and haunting violins, combined with the blast beats and some female vocals in the other songs, we have some nice variation here.
3 songs, short review, that's the way it goes, Aisling caught my attention for a while, even if I was distracted by the production of the Cd which is below average, but not all bands can afford bla bla blah, you know the rest.
Best of lucks for these Italian guys, hope they make it and grow as musicians in the process; I'll be waiting for their full length under the arms of a Record Label.
