Here's a quote from Enraged's last promo album, as appear in the booklet:
"Humanity global treason is sickening. It's disgusting. Through the ages mankind (to whom are you kind?) has never been more than just a plague to itself and its environment. Existing among backstabbers, deceivers and shapeshifters who are determined in achieving your downfall. Besides fucking up each other and ourselves, we also started to lay our destructive hands on nature. With all devastating consequences? Mankind's greed has no boundaries, only money and power count in the end. We are our own worst enemies. Resist this treason or serve as a fucking slave to your own demise."
After reading this anyone would think that these guys are part of a extremist faction of Greenpeace, but no, Enraged are not only playing unrelentless Death Metal, but they also carry a message within the brutality of their music.
The music could be described as Old school Swedish Metal with hints of Thrash, made in Holland. 4 tracks are contained in this promo Cd, each song has its share of brutality and melody, each song have the right elements, but sadly, elements that have been used to death. That doesn't mean that is bad, is just not too original.
The 4 songs are quite good I must say, but I get the feeling that I've heard this before? many many times, I guess Death Metal doesn't impress me anymore? Although it was fun hearing the title track "Resist Or Serve" if you listen well, you can hear some voice samples done by no other than agent Smith from The Matrix, quiet funny if you ask me, and a very good speech at one of the key moments of the movie, and it also goes hand in hand with the whole concept of the band.
Anyway, the four songs are good, maybe not too original, but I didn't see anywhere in the booklet that these guys were trying to reinvent Death Metal.
