Quite a fuzz caused this record when it was released, members of Mercyful Fate on the guitars (Hank Shermann and Michael Denne) was the main hook, and I think that any fan of the band are babbling over this one, but I'm afraid that I'm not a fan of Mercyful Fate or King Diamond, as a matter of fact, I don't like those bands a bit.
That makes me a sworn enemy of Force Of Evil? Partially yes, because they play the same classic Heavy Metal that they did along the King, but a big bonus for them is that they don't have those annoying falsettos of the Danish master with them, instead they have the annoying voice of Martin Steene, who also sings at Iron Fire.
I think the best thing of this record is the twin guitar attack they display in each song, the riffs and the solos are superb, but the compositions in general are pretty boring and cliché.
Maybe I'm gaining enemies with this review, but hey, this is my point of view, and I don't like that much the Heavy Metal displayed in this album.
At the end, I'm sure that die-hard fans of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate are going to buy this album whether my review is positive or negative, so I'm not going to waste my time and words writing, fans of King Diamond and Mercyful fate should like this, for the others, you should try first before buying.
