And let's go for a new review of a Hard Core release, damn these days there is a lot to do with these things for me. Vatic come from USA, Mineapolis, and plays Noise Core, a kind of Hard Core that the all fans of bands like Neurosis know. There are some good things on this new album of this band, but however, you will see it in the review, my feeling with this album is, in one word, "boredom".

"Vatic" is not a bad new release in fact. The musicians of the band are not really bad, the singer is ok, but however this album suffers of a really important problem... Even if there are 8 different songs, all the tracks sound exactly the same to my ears. That's ok when you listen to the first song, and then the 2nd one, but after 3 songs, damn that's boring as hell? Really I can understand how some bands want to do such music, because I'm sure that Figure Of Merit wants to play this kind of uncoloured and dislocate music, that's their style, and that's at least original but however I think that only the true Hard Core fans can like this kind of music. For me in any case, that's boring?
I say it again however, this is not really bad the songs are well done, but rhaaa I must return to this point again, this is always the same music, again and again and again arggg...
If I must have one wish with this band, it will be to have something new in the future, maybe not with some more personality, but with a lot more of originality in the way of writing.
However the production is ok, it sound good and it's well mixed, but the artwork and the cover are ugly? There is nothing?.

Oki dude nothing more to say, this album can be I'm sure a good one for all the fans of real and true Hard Core, but for a basic Metal Head, even with a lot of good will, that's really hard to have any good feelings when you listen to this album. Not because it's bad, only because all the songs are the same, and at the end [I must say it again] that's boring?
An album for the fans of this kind of music only?
