Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus, what were this guys thinking when choosing the name for their band? "Let's choose the longest and meaningless name that ever existed", damn is hard to say this name, I mean, "What are you listening man?"? "err.. bodies in the gears of the apparatus" get my point?

Ok, let's move on, by the song titles you might guess this is Grindcore, if you made that choice, you're totally right, this is ultra fast ear piercing fuckin' Grindcore, just the way your grandmother likes it! This American band comes with their first Mcd released by The Spew Records, home of Leng T'che and other extreme bands.

The record contains 11 songs, and it last only 19 minutes, really short right? Well, not all songs are lengthy as you might have guessed, and as a matter of fact not all songs are really songs, for example, "Of Things To Come" is only a speech sample, "The Ugliest Smile In Rock And Roll" is another sample with only like, 2 seconds of music, which is a little grunt, together they last 18 seconds. There's also a S.O.D. cover "Fuck The Middle East" which doesn't make justice to the original version if you ask me.

Some nice pieces are "Fuck Her Like You Paid For It" with its jazzy interlude and "Seventeen Reasons To Die Wearing Black" which has a funny intro which I recognized from one of the weed smokers from "Half Baked" (you gotta love that movie).

The thing is if you take out the samples and the cover, you got like 10 minutes of music, too little if you ask me. Maybe this band will suit you, maybe not, but I'm not sure if I spend my precious money in a 10 minute Cd.
