Predator is the result of the "mix" between two German bands of Heavy Metal, Stormblade and Mindless Crime. Founded in 2002, "Predator" is their first album released by the specialist of Heavy Metal, Remedy Records. And this is a nice first album that all the fans of German Power/Heavy Metal will enjoy without any doubt. Heavy Metal forever!!!
Every Metal Heads who know Heavy Metal also know that this Metal scene is really active in Germany. Active but also really specific, I mean that it is really easy to recognize with only some few seconds of a song that a song comes from Germany. And surprise, surprise, Predator comes from Germany too, the land of the "steel", "motors", "warriors" etc. Understand that Predator even if it is a new combo plays the same music than a lot of Germans Heavy Metal bands. Strong guitars riffs, fast tempo with double pedal drum bass and before all, the super "friendly" choruses that we all like when time to sing like hell comes?. The first album of the band is not really surprising by its originality but surprising by its maturity. Even if the guys of the bands are some young musicians, the sound of this album is clearly the one of some good professional bands, and the compositions are at the end really nice. The advantage of this kind of music is that the choruses at least are always very catchy and really easy of access that' s not really hard to keep in mind the melodies of each song, that's really appreciable (when you like this music).
But evidently if you like all these bands, you'll never have any problems with this CD, at the opposite I think that you should even try to find this album, but for all the ones who are allergic to this kind of Heavy Metal, humm? Well let's say that it could be better for you to forget this one and to try to find something else. That's not bad, but the German Heavy label is stamped on this album, you see what I mean, but to defend the band I must say that the really nice melodic touch to the music give something more in addition?
The first album of this German combo Predator is a good first try. Yeah maybe the music is a bit cliché, but at least that's different of the too numerous Power Metal bands that we can hear every day. This album is well done with some real killer songs like "Coming Home" and if you want some good Teutonic Heavy Metal I can honestly recommend this album. For the others who don't like this music at the base, let it be that's not for you.
