Between Thrash and Death and after their excellent last MCD "The source Of All Creation" let me introduce you the five new Frenchies of Outcast which release this year their first album "First Call / Last Warning". And Jesus what a blast, I'm proud to see that we have more and more bands of such quality in France, yeah guys we are in front of a little jewel. With brutality like melody and technical this album is without any doubt one of the best French release of the beginning of the year. Catchy, with a lot of potential hits, no doubt that "First Call / Last Warning" will finish in the top five of the best releases of the year in this category.

This album is something great, and since two weeks now, the CD can't leave my stereo. I listen to a lot of Metal everyday but bands which are able to produce music of this quality, aren't legion, and the funny thing is that "First Call / Last Warning" is just the first release of the combo? Let me tell you that Outcast will become an important band of the French Metal scene? no doubt of it?

The music of Outcast is really interesting in reason of its originality. The music is a mix between Thrash, with a tempo of the damned, technical guitars solos and catchy riffs, and Death Metal which gives all its brutality to each songs of the album. All that is really complex at the end, the songs are really original and I will say that we can compare them to The Haunted with the really dark side of a Vader but don't worry anyway even if you can feel some influences in the music of Outcast, in any case this album is a copy of something, at the opposite. Plus, the songs of the album don't fall into the trap of the Metal business, and in any case this release follow a commercial way.

All the musicians are really impressive, like the two guitarists who play some killers riffs and solos during all the duration of the album or the amazing drummer with his perfect double bass blasts. Even the singer is good actually and I can't find any musical problems with this album, and that's the same for the perfect production with a great sound [the album was recorded in the Gojira's studio] and a really nice and professional booklet. A good job no more no less?

"First Call / Last Warning" is THE album made in France of the beginning of the year. Really catchy with a lot of excellent songs, I can only recommend you this CD. That's really hard to find promising bands but it seems that Thundering Records knows how to do that when I see their last signatures, and god bless them for it. If you're looking for a great and original Thrash/Death Metal, you can stop your research right now because "First Call / Last Warning" is the "must" that you want.
