American Line Productions strikes again, now with a Melodic Metal band called as simple as The Forensic, a band with very interesting music, yes it's Melodic Death Metal, but not in the stupid or awful way, this band engages all the best parts of Death Metal with some awesome Melodies in the intros, the outros and somewhere in between.

This album should have a little tag in the cover with a legend like this "Warning: might cause severe head-banging", every single riff in this album makes that effect, the beats are so catchy and violent (my neck hurts right now), the snare drumming (Tarola for the Spanish speakers) has this irregular beat that makes the tracks appealing yet very aggressive to the ear, there are some parts where the melodies smack in, but this is where we can actually appreciate the skills of the musicians, a lot of this melodies are layered as hell and very complex, so I really like those approaches.

This Album is really amazing; it contains a lot of memorable riffs, catchy, but brilliant riffs none the less (I can't take out of my head some of those lines damn it). The best song in "Legions Of Death" is called Real Of Laments this track is unbelievable, it's slow in most parts, but that does not necessarily means "bad stuff", the slower riffs create an overture for the astonishing guitar solos, so you are right the structures along this album are incredible, I won't get into picky details cause I do not want to spoil the surprise of this marvelous CD.

The only "no-no" surrounding this album is the production in some parts, the fade-outs are really fast, I mean fade-outs suppose to last more than 5 seconds right?, just check that outro in the song I already mentioned, it lasts like 2 seconds or so?but anyway that's not important at all cause the music per-se is just awesome.

This album proves that there's a very good way to make Melodic Death Metal music sounds incredible, and this also proves that not every Melodic Death Metal band royally sucks, this album is unbelievable indeed, the quality of this album goes beyond my speech so I'll end this review right now by saying, this album made my week greater in every level, so every metal-head should go now and buy this piece.

NOTE: The artwork of the album (made by the vocalist "Octavio Ruelas") is one of the best works I've seen, the booklet is just amazing to look at, not the usual "only Lyrics, no images" booklet, so even in this point the album is great.
