01. Lost Mankind
02. Bastard Son
Sometimes is really difficult to review a demo, and even more when it features only 2 songs right? Well not this time my friends, I really think it's pointless when someone release a "Demo" with more than 5 tracks, this time this release it's really what it supposes to be, a "Demonstration" of the band skills and a display of what the members are capable of.
Both tracks in this Demo are marvelous, it's a mixture between straight Death Metal and some Technical Riffs, let's take the first track for example, "Lost Mankind", this song starts immediately with the main riff, before the first minute of the song we can hear classic Death Metal with splendid Drumming and awesome vocals, then the first bridge comes in (1:09) a mid-paced musical passage combined with harsh atmosphere, suddenly this bridge becomes the overture for the next riff in the song, an obligated riff (1:46)?I won't say more about this song cause I don't want to spoil the surprise or anything, but let me tell you one more thing, even though I described "Lost Mankind", "Bastard Son" its even better believe me.
The execution is really tight; we can easily notice this is not just an average band with improvised or unprepared music, both tunes are polished in a very accurate way (This makes the riffs catchy at times but hostile generally speaking), I have only one complain towards this Demo; there are no long solos or any guitar leads in the album, yes I found a couple of solos, but those ones are not complex or long, I think this band can offer more than just plain or short guitar leads, I say let's bring that extra feature with crazy ascending solos or at least some long fillings.
I've seen this band live, so I can honestly say they are brilliant not only on CD, the vocalist knows how to interact with the audience in the most interesting way, the band in general has amazing control of the stage and that's something you don't see everyday, at least not with underground bands. I am really looking forward to hear their full length album (which is being held due to the lack of a label contract), this band is and orgy of pure aggression, insane growls, brilliant songwriting and exceptional music in general.
