Well I've been looking everywhere; finally I've found a Hardcore band that does not royally suck, this band is called "Black My Heart". The riffing is catchy most times, the drumming is marvelous, the bass-lines are impressive and the vocal work is just ok (I'll get to that later).

The album is a big shot in the head, the music is actually very powerful, and what impressed me the most was the great structures in the songs, there are a lot of breakdowns and bridges creating "fresh" and actually interesting sound. As I was saying, the vocal work is the main turn-off, finally I found a great Hardcore band with awesome music, too bad the vocalizations are really weak; the vocalist emanates strawberry flavored ferocity, his voice is really raspy, but it sounds more like "hangover (I'm about to puke boogers) days" than actually "aggression (I'll fucking kill you) days".

Putting the vocals aside, the music is actually good, the songwriting is amazing, most tracks go from slow to really fast, then again to mid tempo and so on. The drumming is really remarkable, the double-bass pedal sounds really loud and clear, it also appears in the most precise moments of the tunes. I really liked the instrumental execution by the way, every instrument has a life of its own, of course the musical paragraphs are linked to each other, but still the instruments manage to create slight independence towards the music.

Before The Devil is a good album, even the production is good, the music sounds really loud and clear in every song. So if you are willing to hear "Fresh" Hardcore sound with interesting music and a lot of catchy riffs, try "Before The Devil" I'm sure you won't regret.

Best Tracks: "Thick As Blood", "Remember Me".
