I have to be honest with all of you, when this album arrived to my place I saw the cover and said "Damn? This album surely sucks" now I feel a little stupid; "Hung, Drawn And Quarter Poundered" is, musically, a brutal and cold shot to your forehead, I'll explain a little more.
The music is basically Grindcore, fortunately is not the type of Grind with nothing but unstructured beats and horrid Guitar-Riffs, this time we hear catchy riffing and even some arrangements; this guys even do a great job in adding breakdowns and bridges to change the pace of the song, and that's actually a great feature. You'll find dual vocals in this album, the turn-off is that one of them actually sounds really muddy and flat at times (the sharp one); but on the contrary, the lower and guttural one sounds amazing and thrilling, so I say less highs and more lows, but that's just me, many people could prefer the duet maybe.
The production is respectable, the instruments sound really loud, clear and with decent EQ. The cover is what bothered me at first; we can see a bizarre dude with foam (or sperm) dripping from his mouth, he has a cup with the words "Sperm Sample, Condition: Infected do not eat" on one hand (The spermatozoids inside the cup are enormous and angry) and in the other hand he has a hamburger with fingers instead of meat, I won't even try explaining the rest of the cover? But after hearing the music I don't give a fuck about the layout, I'm just enjoying the content of the CD.
So, "Beef Conspiracy" is a decent addition to any Grindcore collection, they are not the most prodigious band out there, but their music is actually entertaining, including their lyrics which are in fact funny as hell (and you should hear their audio clips, they even use The Simpsons a couple of times). Not suitable for all audience, but enjoyable if you like this genre.
