Arkhon is a young band that comes from Cyprus. They use to play a really strong and aggressive Death Metal, mixed with Black without forgetting some good melodic touches. It's not bad at all and promising, Arkhon isn't unoriginal and their songs are strong, it's promising at the end.

The five songs of the Demo are ok. The music of Arkhon is strong and heavy and actually we're not too far away of "real" Death Metal. The two vocals of the singers are really strong, the Death one is perfect and the "Blacky" one isn't bad at all too. Though, the riffs and the rhythms are really heavy too, it's fast and will thrash your ears. At the end, Arkhon produced a good demo that reminds me the really old Dark Tranquillity (period "Skydancer"), the songs are really aggressive but they all have some good melodies.

The only problem of this demo actually comes from the really average recording. It's not the worst that I've ever seen but still there are some noisy saturated sounds there and there and it's really disturbing. Evidently I don't blame the band because of this point, we all know that it is just a matter of money but I really hope that they will have the luck to have some better means of production and in that case it will be a real pleasure to listen to their music.

This "I Am The Skull" is promising, the band seems to be talented and I'm sure that people who like pure Death like melodic one will enjoy this release. Too bad that the production is average but it's not something really serious and I'm sure that they will be able to fix this problem soon or later. Arkhon is a promising Death Metal bands so let's keep an eye on this band ok?
