President Evil? What a funny name? "Thrash N Roll Asshole Show"? ok ok I understand, we're probably not in front of a band that believes that he is the most serious thing on Earth. And that's right, President Evil like its music isn't something really serious. Nothing pretentious here, just some good old powerful Music, and if some people will like that, some others won't find anything really interesting in this album too because let's be honest, it's also extremely basic?

You're in your car, it's Saturday night and you want to go out with your mates to drink some beers and check if some "open minded" girls will be somewhere in the streets. What will you do first ? Well the answer to the question is easy, you'll put "Thrash N Roll Asshole Show" in the stereo of your car and put the volume to its maximum? Well maybe that it is a bit reductive but well on the other hand the music of the band is really simplistic so it was hard to expect some others real utilities.

This is the real problem of this album, the songs all sound like if they were the same and unique one. The Thrash n Roll spirit (yeah you know, heavy thrashy riffs with rock n roll melodies and soli) is enjoyable but it's too basic to be really interesting if you just want to find a bit of variety or originality in the compositions. So just imagine a basic music, without even some real hits (on this kind of albums, you can expect to find at least a real catchy hit? but here? nada) and you will quickly understand that it will be just boring for you at the end?

I don't know, I'm just not a fan of this kind of basic music. Sure, it will always work with a good band like Motorhead but do we really need some others new bands in this category? I don't think that it is essential, so except if you really want to discover President Evil through "Thrash N Roll Asshole Show" you should just still listen to your old Motorhead's CD?
