When you'll listen to "As A Metal Of Fact" for the first time, I'm sure that a name will come to your mind, the mighty Black Sabbath! That's right, a bit like Astral Doors lately, Cavalar is doing a come back in past to release an album that smells good the Heavy Metal of the 70's. This is just Rock'n'Roll my friends, yeah Rock'n'Roll!
Evidently Cavalar isn't inventing anything with their first release. But it wasn't their goal, I mean that our guys just wanted to play classic Heavy Metal and on a way, it's refreshing especially when you know that nowadays 90% of the new releases are Power Metal, Gothenburg Death or Symphonic stuff. So if you like Black Sabbath, Dio or even some Stoner Metal bands, maybe that you should try to get some information about Cavalar.
"As A Metal Of Fact" is a good album and really all the songs sound good. The good thing is that even if they play an "old" music it sounds however modern. Plus, the songs are a bit punchier than with a band like Black Sabbath, it's a lot more "in your face" if you see what I mean. So we have rhythm, we have cool choruses and great riffs and soli so what about the singer? Well Twitch is an extremely good singer who know how to sing with a perfect hoarse voice that will remind you a lot of bands from the 70's. It's extremely classy especially when it's well done, and it's the case for Cavalar. No doubt, this is a bunch of good musicians.
Musically speaking, there is nothing new on "As A Metal Of Fact" but it's really well done and plus, the recording is really good and the CD looks extremely professional. It' s probably an album for the aficionados of the genre but if you like Rock, I'm sure that you'll love this album. Our guys released a really promising album that proves that this side of Metal is not dead yet. Classic old school Hard Rock, Heavy and Stoner Metal fans, this is a must for you!
