Squealer A.D is not a newcomer. The band started its career at the beginning of the 90's and even after the tragic accident of Andy Allendörfer in 2005, the band found the force to release a new album, with now the famous Grip Inc singer Gus Chamber. "Confrontation Street" follows the musical road that the band started to trace in the past and if you liked the previous albums of the German Combo, I'm quite sure that you'll like this one too even if, let's be honest, we have nothing really new with this release.

Squealer A.D plays a cool Power Thrash Metal. Between Heavy and old school Thrash, the music of Squealer A.D is violent and never lacks of rhythm. Actually, it's really powerful with sometime fast Thrashy tempo like on "Infanticide" and some others time loud mid-tempo like on "Blood Red Halo". Strangely, and I don't know if it come from the influences of Gus Chamber but this album sounds more American than German.

The principal problem of "Confrontation Street" is its lack of originality. The songs aren't bad, it's powerful and even catchy but even after a lot of listening, I cannot give you the title of a song which clearly blew me away. It's just classic as hell, without any risks and at the end if it's not bad, it's also really conventional too and not really surprising. If you're not looking for something surprising it will be ok, but if you want something new then?

Squealer A.D is able to play a great catchy Power Thrash Metal but even if "Confrontation Street" is not a bad album, there is nothing really special on this release too. Though, if you like the band and if you like this musical style of Squealer A.D you'll probably find some good things in this album. To sum up, "Confrontation Street" is a good Power Thrash release which just don't give anything new to the listeners.
