"Peace Breaker" is already the sixth album of Skew Siskin, a combo from Germany that we can categorize a bit like the little brother of Motörhead and AC/DC. The band has never been original and only plays a classic Hard Rock but they're good to do it and in general their songs are perfect to headbang. If you like Hard Rock, have a look on this review and I'm sure that "Peace Breaker" will finish in your discography!

That's right, Skew Siskin has never created anything. Their music is a really classic and generic Hard Rock, their guitars has the same sound than the ones of AC/DC (more or less evidently) and their rhythms and melodies are clearly similar than the ones of Motörhead but even if Skew Siskin is not a revolutionary band, it works. Of course, the performance and charisma of their female singer Nina C. Alice (a real rock n roll singer with a strong and loud voice) helps a lot and is the principal difference with the other bands of the category but let's be honest too, their songs are good. "Peace Breaker" is composed of 13 good songs of Hard Rock, it's classic but it's catchy with a lot of rhythm and of course a strong Rock N Roll spirit that we can only find in the music of the kings of the category. A song like "Metal In Your Face" is really similar to the heavy of songs of the last Motörhead when "Hit You Harder" is a lot more in the vein of the rocks songs of AC/DC, which means that the album is varied. It's always Hard Rock but can be Rock N Roll like Metal and that's a good thing.

"Peace Breaker" is a good album and just suffers of a real lack of originality. If you just want to listen to cool Hard Rock, no problem here but if you want a bit of originality, if you want something a bit new, damn you'll not find anything for you in this release even if Lemmy himself helped the band to write three songs! That's good Hard Rock with a great modern production and some great musicians but it's classic as hell and even if I cannot say that Skew Siskin is a bad band (they're good!) they're a bit too shy for me too. Hard Rock is an institution and it's great to play such music but I really believe that it's possible to add its own personal touches to this music too. Skew Siskin should try to surprise us a bit?

Nothing new then with the new Skew Siskin but on the other hand I can tell you that it's one of the best releases of the band. Don't expect something original here but if you like good old Rock N Roll I can tell you that it's a must. "Peace Breaker" is recommended to all the fans of classy Hard Rock who're not looking for something modern and different (if you're one of these guys, "Peace Breaker" is a must.).
