That's good to have news from Boneshaker's side. Ok, I suppose that nobody knows them here, and after all this is normal because they've just released one demo in 2007 but it was a really nice CD and expected a lot of this combo. Now that they're finally back to business with their first album, I can tell you that I was not wrong when I said that it was a band with strong capacities, ok "Start The Race" is a bit cliché and totally unoriginal on a side but damn that's great album of Hard Rock! Let's rock brothers!

I'm a fan of AC/DC and I always like to listen to the albums of the bands which play the same kind of Rock, when they're good of course.... True Boneshaker is clearly influenced by the Australian Gods and you'll not discover anything different here but damn this is really good! I don't know why but "Start The Race" simply works with me. The songs are cool, fun hyper catchy with always some great bluesy lines, it's just cool to listen to the music of Boneshaker. So ok maybe that some of you will say that it's too similar to AC/DC and that's maybe right but on the other hand this is clearly old school and more into the Bon Scott period than the recent one, and that's just great. I could talk about all the songs here, but "We're Gonna Celebrate" (already featured on the demo) like "Limousine" for example are classy and this is the same with all the other tracks of the album. The good thing here is that I clearly remember the riffs and melodies of the songs which were on the demo and that's always a good sign because after all it means that they weren't bad!

The music rocks as hell, the musicians all have a fucking good groove and the singer is just great! Ok his voice again is clearly in the genre of the one of Bon Scott but wow Chris is a impressive here and the good recording of the album helps the whole band to prove that they're a band which deserve to be known. Their compositions are good, the interpretation is top class, I highly recommend this album if you like old school bluesy Hard Rock.

"Start The Race" is not revolutionary but if you think that Airbourne is a great band, then I don't see why you shouldn't like this album. Boneshaker doesn't invent anything new here but if you like Hard Rock this release is a must. If you want a good Rock N Roll, don't miss "Start The Race", this is a really good confirmation, Boneshaker is a band which deserved to be discovered and not only in France!
