I'm not fully through the new one yet, but I'm not enjoying the choppiness of it as much. Not a big fan of being progressive for the sake of being progressive. Their older material felt like it had more of a soul to it.
11:26 - corruptThey were just on tour with a fan-selection playlist. That only contained one song of their Deep Purple era and was full of classics, otherwise. Those shows were pretty amazing.
11:25 - ChidderI saw them two years ago and it was great. Amazing growls, awsome setlist with older songs.
11:23 - Ball FondlersThe new Opeth is sounding pretty good, I hope it is reflected in their live performances, as the last time I saw them it was a snooze fest. Ealry 2000s they were probably the best live band I'd seen
