Glad you like it. What's the difference anyway?
I placed Cryptic Writings over Youthanasia which might seem odd, but it clicked with me more than the other one.

Http://www.metalstorm.net/users/list.php?list_id=565 yeah i dunno , i guess i chose Youth over Cryptic because it was my first megadeth album. It kind of changes ones opinion on it. But yeah both great albums And great lists.

I like the list as well. I would probably have Supercollider at the last, I could barely finish listening to it, it annoyed me quite a bit, even more than Risk, which everyone seems to hate.

I placed it above Risk simply because I sort of like Kingmaker. But that's it.

I long thought about this kind of arrangement with Super Collider at the bottom of the list, but when I look back, I remembered listening to Risk years ago and damn it was just ear rape... honestly. Could not find a track that I like, heck, not even a moment of good musicianship in it. But on Super Collider I got hooked up with Kingmaker, which is the only song from that album that I think we can both agree that is quite decent. Risk doesn't have its own 'Kingmaker'.

Yup I agree that kingmaker really is decent song, but I dont know why, I just hate Supercollider even more than risk. But whatever, both albums really suck, maybe we just should go listen to some Rust In Peace

That's your opinion, but for me, that album was an abomination. Compared to all the other albums they did, it is by far the worst.

Agreed. I think Risk is one of the worst albums of its era - even worse than St. Anger. I know Metallica get a lot of hate for that album but at least they started releasing all their Load-esque shit before Megadave made an attempt at doing the same thing.

I'd put the debut as my #1 personally, because I don't think Dave ever topped its level of intensity. He had just been kicked out of Metallica, he was still very pissed, and he channeled that fury into his songwriting. And you can feel it, the tracks are all just dripping with loud, nasty, testosterone-infused carnage. It's great.

Written by deadone on 23.01.2014 at 00:14 The Load's are far better than Risk...
I agree with this too, I think the way I structured my sentence before made it sound like I dislike the Loads on the same level as Risk but that's not accurate (although I might rank Re-Load at that lower level since it lacks the one or two decent tracks that its predecessor has).

That sounds more like Peace Sells you're referring to. I don't feel their debut is angry at all (unless you count that ballsy cover of These Boots).

Both of them really, now that you mention it, it's kinda hard to say which one more so. Maybe I'm just biased though, since Skull Beneath The Skin and Looking Down The Cross are probably my favorite songs of the band

Good list. I rate Killing higher than Endgame, and I did not like United Abominations at all. I will actually drop that below Th1rt3en. I only like the first 2 songs.

Yeah, Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, Coundown, United, Endgame are excellent from start to finish (almost), and cryptic, the system, youthanasia have some very good songs. Rest albums have couple of OK songs...

Nice list, altough Endgame at 4 is way to high. I would replace it with Youthanasia, but thats just my opinion.:)
Nah, Youthanasia over the debut and Countdown is blasphemy. I placed Endgame on 4th since it is the best thrash output in the 2000s made by Megadeth. Quality wise is on par with the 3rd 'deth album. The whole thing is debateable regarding Cryptic Writings as in my opinion, it is better than Youthanasia. But, these are just personal favorites...

Eh... even I debated which early album should be put higher but in the end I settled for the first 4 to be in the top 5. I also love Endgame much more than CtE.

Nope. I like Countdown To Extinction more. Endgame would at the best be number 8 on my list of Megadeth albums.
