2007 was a really good one, possibly my favorite of the 2000's until now, a lot of great release in Progressive metal, Black metal and Doom metal had a really strong comeback that year, overall a really great year for metal

This list came into being after reading RaduP's Getting Into: Negura Bunget article. I have always wondered why people are so in awe of Om and disregard Vîrstele Pămîntului. Since this is not the only band where I tend to prefer another album than what many perceive as the climax of a band. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

These are (in my opinion) the best metal songs of all time. I've limited myself to choosing a maximum of TWO SONGS PER ALBUM so that there can be some diversity in the bands that appear.
The genres are mainly heavy, thrash, and death metal - with some black and power metal too.
