That would confirm the theory that album ratings inflate over the years and we should maybe not be too worried about current lower ratings .. They'll go up eventually ? :)

@Karlabos: Yeah very interesting topic thanks. And actually the original post mentionned there were only 6 albums with 8.75 or above for 2010s. There are actually 10 now, a year later.

That's absolutely speculating, but I thought it made some sense ..

Yeah, a bunch of my fav albums of the year usually get a 6 average

However, older albums would only get good ratings from people who found them, liked them, and gave a good rating.

I mean during the release year, they are very visible and maybe get low ratings by people who otherwise wouldn't have even find it if it was older.
