Rising - Reveal New Lineup, To Record New Album

Rising are back! It's been two years since the former line-up broke up and the future seemed uncertain. Now, after two years of consistent writing and working, the sludge metallers from Denmark can present the new Rising line-up and their plans for the near future. They will record their yet untitled third album in August and September and it is expected to be released in the spring of 2016.

Sepultura - Share Lyric Video For New Song

Last week, Brazilian metal icons Sepultura released their vinyl EP Sepultura Under My Skin to celebrate their 30th anniversary by thanking their fans in a special way. The band asked fans to contribute to the artwork for their EP. The artwork of this release is created by the tattoos of Sepultura fans all over the world. As for the music, the band just released a special lyric video, which contains other tattoos which can't be seen on the cover artwork of the EP. Check it out below and listen to the new song.

Meshuggah - Plan To Record New Album In 2016

Meshuggah haven't said much about a new album until now. Koloss, their latest record, was released back in 2012. Since then, the band has released an EP and a DVD and also commemorated the 25th anniversary of the recording of their first EP. According to a recent interview of guitarist Mårten Hagström, the plan is to record the upcoming album next year. The band should focus exclusively on writing new material after August.

Otep - Singer Assaulted On Stage, Hits Back

After allegedly being sexually assaulted by the former frontman of Terror Universal, singer Otep Shamaya was reportedly nearly attacked by an audience member at the band's show in Belvidere, Illinois on June 7th. He rushed the stage, and she hit him with the microphone to defend herself. Otep's singer has now released a statement regarding the assault incident. No word yet on if any charges are being pressed.

Ghost - Release Video, Announce Tour

Ghost have released the first video for their new album, Meliora. The band has also announced a new North American trek and are going to spend September and October this fall touring together with British band Purson as support. Lamb Of God - Premiere New Track

Lamb Of God have just premiered a brand new track! The American metallers are showcasing a song from their new album VII: Sturm Und Drang, more specifically "512". The song lyrics are about Blythe's experience in a prison in the Czech Republic, where he had been charged with manslaughter for allegedly pushing a fan offstage and causing injuries that led to the fan's death. The vocalist was eventually found not guilty, but still spent over a month incarcerated. It was during that time that he began writing "512" - in Pankrác Prison cell number 512. You can hear the track below.

Windhand - Announce New Album

Windhand's anticipated, third full-length album is ready. It will be titled Grief's Infernal Flower and is set for release on September 18th on Relapse Records. Recorded in Seattle at Soundhouse Recording with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, High On Fire), the album contains nine songs and promises to be their most ambitious record to date.

Slipknot - Debut New Video

Slipknot chose today to premiere a brand new video. The song used is "Killpop" from their latest record .5: The Gray Chapter and the clip was directed by percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan. The Americans are currently doing festivals in Europe and will later return to North America accompanied by Lamb Of God, Bullet For My Valentine and Motionless In White.

Vision Of Disorder - To Record New Album

U.S. unit Vision Of Disorder are gearing up to record a new album. Their latest one was released back in 2012, The Cursed Remain Cursed, but the Long Island quintet has been demoing new material in recent weeks with legendary producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Crowbar, Soulfly, Shadows Fall, Agnostic Front, etc.) at the helm. In July, the recordings are set to begin.

Rock Am Ring - 33 Injured In Lightning Strikes

Thirty-three people have been hurt after lightning struck twice at one of Germany's music festivals, Rock Am Ring 2015. Rock am Ring staff and concert-goers were hurt as lightning hit backstage and camping areas of the festival in Mendig. Rock Am Ring ends today with sets from Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Motรถrhead, In Flames and others with 90,000 fans expected at the event.

Virus - Sign With Karisma Records, New Album Coming

It seems like Virus are finally releasing a new album. After being quiet in terms of releases for a while, the Norwegian avantgarde metallers have signed a deal with Karisma Records that will see the label release the band's fourth full-length album. Alongside a recent busy touring schedule, Virus have been writing and honing material for the new album which will be titled Memento Collider, and the band is currently at work on it in studio. Memento Collider is scheduled for release this winter, and more details can be expected soon.

Eindhoven Metal Meeting 2015 - Confirm Marduk, Vektor And More
