I've managed to listen to this all the way through, and I've concluded that this is an appalling disaster, it should never of been released as an Iced Earth album.

I would actually quite like the background music if it was on It's own, it sounds beautiful in parts, and would of been tranquil, but the narration annoys the hell out of me. It's like listening to an audio book whilst trying to concentrate on listening to music at the same time. I would give a 6 for the music but a -1 for the narration.

Just listened to most of it, going to give the rest ago later, his voice gets on my tits.

This is by far the worst thing I have suffered through in quite some time. Absolutely abysmal in every sense of the word. I'd say it's not even worth listening to out of curiosity, there are exactly zero redeemable qualities to this thing.

This is not utter crap per se if you ask me. Putting together narration with instrumentation as it is done here is an approach I could generally enjoy to some extent.
The problem here for me though is that the narration is inappropriate. The tone of the narrator's voice, plus the accentuation that is put to the words, obviously intend to create some level of tention. It though fails at that entirely as it comes across utterly monotonous because it just repeats this accentuation thoughout the entire record. I can imagine enjoying this to some degree if there was a lot more variation in the tone of narration.

Don't know what the point of this thing is. I'll give it a listen out of morbid curiosity.

So I heard this is a narration thing and not an actual power metal album, therefore it obviously caught my attention

It's surprisingly pretty good. Kinda reminds me of the poemcore scene. But I like the established poemcore names better
It's certainly better than the last Furia album

That's why it's so obvious this is a cashtrap. If Jon needed the money, he should start a fundraise not sellout IE like this.

The only thing that's memorable about him is his music and work and he himself is throwing it under the bus with this kind of releases... It's quite sad actually.

This gets boring so fast... hopefully this can cuddle up next to Lulu on the bottom albums of all time list (at the moment it's already 6th lowest rated album on MS)

I don't know what IE were thinking, narration rarely works in rock and metal (Anathema's Roy Harper cover of Hope starts with some narration, but it's at least interesting, I can forgive that and also Richard Burton's narration in Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds in 1978 is amazing, but if Burton read the phone book, people would have listened, he had that amazing voice and presence).
