What would it sound like if Rob Halford fronted a nu metal band that didn't suck?

System Of A Down, Slipknot, Trivium and Rob Halford had a bastard child. Really groovy, catchy and heavy album, tons of influences and delicious details.

It is totally a mashup of those sounds. If you locked Joey Jordison, Jeff Loomis and Devin Townsend in a room for a month in 2005 this would be the result.

Where the f this came from??? I mean for us, who started with System of a Down, I couldn't even imagine to listen to something that could be an evolution of those days at the best level... in 2019.

I just try to imagine Century media faces, when the they heard these guys demo.

Wow, that sounds like something I would totally hate. I best find out!

The only obvious Slipknot moment that I can recall is in Ultraviolence, and I'm not sure where the Devin Townsend name drops are coming from (I could maybe accept SYL). This is basically alternative metal with a singer who has a wider range than what's usually associated with the genre, and there's also some djent undertones. Some cool songs but not really my cup of tea.

Even thought it is not really my taste Im pretty impressed with this. Specially with the vocals and not only just the performance but also the mixing and the creativeness of it

Somewhere they sound similar to SOAD vocals but very few songs. Rest is just noise.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

There's lots of layers integrated in here, which is always good when done well - and that mostly applies here, but I don't feel all of them quite work, especially some of the Metalcore cliche breakdowns that are thrown in - still generally quite good, but not 'quite' the finished product yet I'd say

Uninspiring, really flat music. None of the songs did anything great for me, not even the 14 minute home.
