They Hakend us this year. They released all the ''heavy'' songs minus the longest one as a single. Why do record labels keep doing this? Any one got any idea?
Album is cool, not as good as the previous ones, but still very much consistent and high in quality. I like it!

It's not as good as In Contact which is my personal favourite, but it's still solid. Valkyrie and especially The Tempest are SO good

Finally listened to this today, I enjoyed it quite a bit, if I were to complain about anything is that they played it safe.

Not a bad album per ce, but they should have at least tried something more than just the usual safe prog metal stuff everybody's doing these days.

All ingredients for a safe hit. Not good not bad. Did not find anything new.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

I'm surprised this has a lower rating than Virus; I've never quite got on board the immense hype trains either Caligula's Horse or Haken have in certain prog circles, but I found this to easily be a more consistently enjoyable listen than Virus as a complete package

This will probably sound counter-intuitive but I think the consistency here is its primary drawback. They practically go out of their way to make sure each song fits the archetype of a contemporary prog track: subdued clean vocal verses, delicate melodies, plodding breakdowns, bombastic choruses, brief guitar solos, and an anthemic send-off to cap it all off.

It's incredibly formulaic with "Resonate" and "Autumn" filling awkward roles to seemingly inflate the overall run time, as if they really wanted to hit that 45-minute mark.

Each for their own, I like both Resonate and particularly Autumn. I like the album rather a lot, albeit less than their previous one; I do think they're overhyped but I didn't find this to be especially formulaic

I like both Resonate and particularly Autumn.

"Resonate" I can do without either way, like it isn't a distractingly bad break or anything, but "Autumn" just seems superfluous to me. What do you like so much about it? All I thought while listening to it was how much fat could be trimmed.

I just find it to be a very pleasant and stirring softer track, it's one of my favourites on the album alongside Salt and The Ascent

Ah, as you said, differing tastes and such. My biggest issue with it was how it detracted from the momentum being built as the album neared its end, but that's all just a matter of preference.

Solid all the way through, "Autumn" stood out in particular though.
