This album is basically a summary of Pain of Salvation's past, present, and future.

The title track is horrible but then, I'm not surprised. I was never able to get into this band and I tried during several stages of my life, still nothing speaks to me. I'll try to give it all a listen but I doubt I will enjoy anything, based on the 2 tracks I heard so far.

Wow! I had been listening to a lot of PoS before the release, and was not expecting it to be this good, Icon is such an awesome closer to the album

I'm not familiar much with this band and I barely know their essential work. But I'm good with In The Passing Light Of Day. Time to time I don't have any problem to listen this album from beginning to the end.

As others have mentioned, I love the overall vibe and production but the pasta is never quite boiled for me with these guys. I've thrown entire pots against the wall over the years but nothing sticks, not even for a few days.

Listened to it all,and... I won't listen to it again fortunately. The album I really like from this band is "The Perfect Element, Part I"

I liked this one. Nice darker vibes with some playful progressiveness. Really good stuff.
The production on the drums can feel a tad hollow from time to time imo, but that's a minor nitpick because they are still mixed in really well with the other instruments.

I don't like your attitude man. This album is really great like all the albums from this band. They are progressive in every way possible, and lyrics are not only about sex like they used to. I think you need a couple of re-listens before you can make up your mind about this masterpiece.
Also, did you check your mood is the same as it was when you listened to Perfect Element, Part 1? I think this is an important part where most of the people writing comments fail. They confuse the quality of the album with their mood and make mistakes which they carry through their lives until one day they might realize how wrong was the this step.
Anyways, RIP Kristoffer Gildenlöw.

I just can't get into this. There are elements that are good and others that just fall flat. Not to mention the title track is just awful, I mean how did it make the cut? Also I just heard how Daniel kinda screwed over Ragnar and that just makes me not want to support this band. 6.5 album and it reminds me a bit of that Leprous album we got earlier this year.

The album is ambiguous. There is undoubtedly a masterpiece and probably one of the best songs of this band-this is track #9, as well as a lot of great and just good tracks, but if not for one moment! On the album there are two terrible empty tracks-these are tracks # 1, 3, which greatly spoil the impression of the album, if you throw them out and forget about these two misunderstandings, then the album is basically a candy!
