I don't mind retro pastiche that much, but I really enjoy it when artists can nail rehashing an old sound but doing it in a pretty unique way. It's hard to think of anyone doing this 70s melting pot better than Jess And The Ancient Ones. Read more ›› |

This band is very consistent both in style and quality. This time less hard rock, less blues, more 60's psychodellia, but overall more of the same. Many mentioned Jefferson Airplane, but I also hear Big Brother and the Holding Company, The 13th Floor Elevators, The Seeds, The Sonics, Love... It's great though, in fact it just might be my favourite since debut.
