Lost To Apathy
This was quite enjoyable. Think I preferred the punk covers to the new Mayhem songs though!

Most value here is those old classic punk covers, they did in punk style, if more BM touch would be edet it would be cool, but its not bad. Better as original songs

Brutal Water
It's pretty decent, but to me it feels a little jarring to have three serious, gritty BM songs followed by some lighthearted, playful and satirical punk songs. I like every song on this EP, but I don't think I'll listen to the full thing in one sitting again, but rather only the first or second halves by themselves depending on my mood.

I really enjoyed this. Never could have imagined Mayhem doing these covers but they totally worked.

I enjoyed this EP. Attila and Necrobutcher describe their punk-inspired roots in a metal.de interview. It really is fascinating to think about the possible points of convergence of these styles. Concerning the EP, I somehow was waiting for a combination of black metal and punk in the cover songs, but they are purely punk. Still, this is an interesting EP, maybe more for fans than for starters.
