When I heard that Mercenary had parted ways with bassist and songwriter Henrik "Kral" Andersen I feared the worst. Too many bands had virtually died after losing an influential member and Kral was, in a way, the "Mr. Mercenary" for many years. So when the word got out that Mercenary would do an album without him the expectations were high, but so were the worries. After all this album would succeed the legendary "11 Dreams." Read more ›› |

Written by DragonWisdom on 07.08.2013 at 22:26 Agreed. 11 Dreams has strong songs (the title track, World Hate Center, reDestructDead) but a few too many fillers. This album has more strong songs (Lost Reality, My World Is Ending, Redefine Me, the title track, Year Of the Plague, Simplicity Demand) and is overall much more consistent IMO. My ratings would be: The Hours That Remain: 9.1/10 11 Dreams: 8.7/10
