I'm really diggin' it

I'm only 2 listens in but I already like it more than Revenant which was too convoluted and had the songs kinda blending together. It's not quite as good Apotheosis of course but that was to be expected (friendly reminder that you should listen to that masterpiece if you haven't already)

So far my favorite track is Vile Genesis but that could change after more relistens. And oh my god are there a lot of solos and pretty much all of them are really good. The only critique I have is that they still suffer a bit from making some very lenghty riffs with 50 different notes that are tough to decipher but overall they are still very melodic and enjoyable. It just takes a bit of patience and more active listening to get a good feel for the songs which is part of the fun.
Another nice point is that the album is only 43 minutes long which is the perfect length for such an album.

Overall a pleasant surprise. I guess it helped that my expectations were low. If the new Archspire album is at least as good as this I'll finally be content with this year's releases.

I really liked this. Tech death with hints of melodic death at it best.

YES! Tech bands live or die for me based on this. Hence why this is my favorite record from Inferi, I actually want to listen to it a lot XD
I will check out PoA though, haven't heard that one yet (I started with Revenant).

This is so good. Basically everything I'd expect from Inferi but with an almost perfect execution compared to their other releases

A good wall of tech death sound, with definitive melodic influences. Their album covers are really good.

Awesome technical death metal! I really like the interplay between the two vocalists: one has a strained, screeching voice like Dark Tranquillity and the other has a deep growling voice like In Flames. While not as melancholic and subtle as other melodic DM, this here definitely never gets boring!
Fantastically horrific cover art, incredible guitar solos, addicting fast-paced metal!

So much has clearly gone into this, the structure is so complex and technical but still manages to contain a certain degree of melody and remain interesting, which is definitely an important factor as there's always been a fine line between great and boring songwriting in this genre for me.

The leads are outstandingly performed, the synths are highly effective, the vocal duo's are very well done, the production is spot on, and the cover-art looks brilliant. So in terms of technical death this is one of the most enjoyable I've listened to in recent years without a doubt!
