This album leans more into post-punk territory than I was expecting, I get some Ice Age vibes. I like the mixture of the heavy guitars and bass with this song writing style. The vocals are manic too. Overall a pretty nice chaotic listen.
Glad it's only 40 minutes, I think any longer and it would overstay its welcome. The second last track is already a bit much.

This was totally unexpected for me, it has a fresh and original sound, like a mix of industrial, sludge, and 00's alternative metal thrown in, I'm not even sure who the influences are on this.
I find the whole concept interesting and I admire it's lyrical themes, but I have to admit the vocal style does get too much for me after a while. The whole album is very intense, but unfortunately in an annoying kind of way, it just somehow doesn't quite get with me, maybe I will warm to it more over time, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

One of those instances that the awful lyrics actually diminish on otherwise great record.

Sounds like Godflesh with the disturbing atmosphere of Acid Bath.
Vocals and lyrics are clearly divisive, but honestly they’re my favorite part. There’s a sort of endearing quality to them with how silly they can be sometimes.
Also, if you’d be so kind, FUCK YOU GRIMACE.

Funny how the review and everyone else choose to glare past the obvious Korn influence

I can see what you mean and could have included it. At least when it comes to Korn’s debut that is. That being said, I don’t consider it nearly as obvious as Early Swans and Godflesh. But good point nevertheless!

Considering everything from Korn influence, awful vocals to wobbling in post-punk complex, I'm still bewildered on one thing,
Why do people have to live outside?
WHY?

I give a higher rating each time I listen to this album. I love the hellish atmosphere of this release. The Chat Pile's depiction of pure/inherent anger and social deviance for vengeance is brilliant.

I found a lot of Daughters in this album. Absolutely brilliant album. Definitely a band I would want to see live and hopefully partake in the incessant moshing it would evoke.

Saw them this summer and they kicked so much ass. I’ve been listening to this a lot this week and still love it. I think the Daughters influence is the most obvious one of all. I just wish like hell I could’ve seen them play in the cave!
