Yeah I agree. I'm actually super conservative with my 9s and 10s. 9s go only to albums I've listened to for years, or that totally blew me away. 10s need both those caracteristics.
Yes I think so too. Not to mention sometimes it takes so much time to really appreciate a record. Yes there are things that instantly click with people, but others might take years or decades.
Well said, qlacs. I myself have the tendency to be a bit more cautious when rating new albums. It's indeed tough to put them on equal footing as old albums because of nostalgia and amount of listens, like you said.
