I remember when I first got my hands on this CD - a friend of mine bought it in a used record store together with a couple of other CD's, and I got to borrow it directly because he didn't think it would be any good anyway. Guess if I was surprised - this album remains one of my favourite power metal albums, which might have to do with the extra spice of a surprise though. But there isn't much bad to say about "Return to Heaven Denied". Read more ›› |

Really great musicianship in every aspect. This album is really trip to heaven. If you want to enjoy beautiful melodies you wont make mistake with this one.

Oh my God, this is one of the best power metal albums I have heard in my life. I don't know how they did it, because they don't have done never more one album like this and even like this.

Not sure why I don't appreciate this one more as most power metal fans seems to love it. It's a solid work but it's not great, for me it lacks the experimental and progressive elements from the debut. My favourite songs are New Horizons, Heaven Denied and the last two. EDIT: Re-evaluation time. Been binging this one for a couple of weeks and I now consider it to be a top power metal album with a solid flow and some excellent highlights.

Stunningly beautiful work! Vocal refrains, guitar solos, keyboard arrangements - everything is so pretty and nice on this album, it can even be a little overwhelmingly sweet and melodic. There are no weak songs here, but my favorites are: "Thunder", "Lady Lost In Time", "The Night Of Dreams" and "Moonlight". If you're looking for some charming Metal - go for the 1999-2005 Kamelot or this one!
