I think you'll enjoy Austral Alien more than this one.

I think I prefer Tripsis... but it's probably because it was my First Contact with the band

Tripsis is imo Alchemist's worst, though still very good.

I see what you did thar I checked Tripsis out after listening to most of their discography, perhaps why it isn't a favourite. Still damn fine though.

Of the 3 comparitive (musically) albums, Tripsis, Austral Alien and Organasm, Tripsis is the weakest. I'd have:
1. Organasm
2. Austral Alien
3. Tripsis
Of the 3 earlier albums, I'd have:
1. Lunasphere
2. Spiritech
3. Jar of Kingdom...which is pretty different to everything else they've done.
Having said all this, I love Alchemist and everything they do. They are some freakn' talented musicians!

I love Alchemistand really miss them, but, luckily, their music lives on. As it was mentioned above, Tripsis is not the greatest masterpiece of this band, but still a very good record.
My personal favourites: Wrapped in Guilt, Anticipation of a High, Communchate, God Shaped Hole, Degenerative Breeding.
