It’s been a turbulent few years for Francesco Paoli and his band Fleshgod Apocalypse, but the infernal orchestra plays on unabated.

Not a fan of those female vocals, seem out of place, in the Bloodclock single.

Somewhat overproduced, IMO. It's fine, but I like their older stuff better.

Other than "Till Death Do Us Apart" (which seems to be the stand-out track for me) and the fact it's massively produced I'm not overly impressed by this, there's very few memorable moments. It's a long way off King anyway.

There is an exaggeration about this album that I like. Overproduced in both sound and videos. For a strange reason I don’t mind the female vocals and was quite surprised by Morphine Waltz. 8 songs plus intro/outro, very good and professional effort. Not familiar with their early stuff but I am now curious to see them live.

Good album, female vocals makes it great composed, symphonic parts, all is well done.

Somewhat enjoyed this, mainly the female vocals. Overall I'm not a big fan of this Italian, overly-operatic and dramatic style, though they're not toooo over the top. I've certainly heard worse.

Snoozefest. Tiresome for one sitting. Miles away from "Agony", which I did find decent.

This might just be their best release since Oracles and Mafia for me. Everything else they’ve written felt…slightly “amateur” in sections. King was an improvement, but not quite there. This is the first album in a long time where I haven’t skipped any songs. Perhaps it’s the influence of the new members. I preferred the old clean singing, but this is still pretty darn epic.

And yeah, super polished, but that’s the last thing I listen for tbh. If the melody and groove is spot on, I’ll settle for any production.

The album is called Opera, but it lacks opera vocals, which are replaced by female clean vocals instead. I really liked Morphine Waltz and At War with My Soul, they both sound like the prior Veleno albums.

I really enjoyed this, it's Fleshgod condensed into the most efficient version of Fleshgod. It kind of reminds me in a way of Leprous's Congregation, which I also love. I just hope Fleshgod does not go the Leprous route and start making the same thing over and over again. This is the sort of thing that can work once. I'm glad they did it, but I'm looking forward to them evolving their sound after this.

I felt the same. Nice stuff, but I hope female vocals won't be something permanent on their formula.

Generic? I don't think there is another band that comes close to what FA do in terms of music style / offering so, although one may not like their style, production, vocals etc etc, I cannot see how Opera is "generic" by any stretch of imagination.
