Looks like with the arcade music thing out the system, Andy's got unfinished business from his old band, as this sounds rather Mors Principium Est-esque - nothing remarkable, but enjoyable

Exactly my thoughts as well, I actually quite liked the whole arcade gaming theme he had going on his previous album. I mean, this is ok, there's some excellently performed guitarwork as usual, but the songwriting overall feels like another attempt at revitalizing his days with Mors Principium Est. Not at all what I expected though tbh, just going by the medieval fantasy cover-art and song titles I expected more epically driven melodies, where as this seems to be standard melodeath with lot's of cool shredding solo's.

Well, this album is exactly what I was expecting. Andy was doing all the work at mors principium est by himself. Mors principium est was basically just Andy. Now that he's gone it's gonna be MPE who's gonna change their sound, not Andy

This album not only solidifies Gillion's mastery of his craft but also delivers an emotional punch that resonates long after the final track fades away
