A darkly passionate and eerily mystical album slightly leaning more towards the gothic side of gothic-doom. It has it's interesting moments sure, and a few striking melodies as expected, but the songwriting is far from the quality that this genre normally offers. The thing I can't seem to shake off though is the vocals, they're undoubtedly passionate and far from badly performed, but I just find them a tad too overbearing, perhaps this is due to the mixing, but then I'm not too fond on the overall production of this album anyway. A solid performance but not an album I can see myself regularly revisiting over the course of the year.
