The first Death Thrash Metal Album in metal history ?
Any objections here ?
I can't believe it as I thought they have been one of a million rip-off band of Carcass, Terrorizer, Morbid Angel, trying to blend Death, Grind and Thrash together...I actually wanted to check out their last two album yesterday and so shock to find out this album actually released in 1990 !!!
Criminally underrated. Carcass Swansong is totally a rip-off of this album.

Yes, objections to stating that this is the first death thrash album. Poison - Into The Abyss was four years earlier.
And Carcass - Swansong sounds nothing like this at all, that album is almost death and roll.

What ? Poison ?
I actually have not listened to Swansong for many years...but Swansong bump into my mind When I was listening to this Merciless debut. May be just a kind of illusive dejavu ? I have to go back to Swansong again...

What ? Poison ?

Yes, Poison, from Germany, NOT the American glam band Poison.

This album, called 'Into The Abyss':

Cool, this album is qualified to be a Death Thrash masterpiece if it's produced in 1986 !
A very mature release, no flaws at all. If I were in 1986 I would give this a 9 but I would only give this a 6.5 in 2014.
Stii...No album is better than Merciless - The Awakening before 1990. Any objection ?
